Campervan Insulation and Sound Deadening Shopping Guide
Choose the material for each part of your campervan, then calculate how much you need. Our range includes self-adhesive closed-cell foam, polyester cavity wadding, acoustic felt and butyl sound-deadening sheets. Check the individual product's specifications and fitting guidance for your build.
Compare the four materials
Self-adhesive closed-cell foam
Shop closed-cell insulation foam in 5mm or 10mm thickness. Both are 1m wide. Choose from the listed cut lengths: 1–10m, 15m or 20m, subject to availability.
For example, a selected 3m length gives a piece 1m wide × 3m long, covering 3m² before cutting. Quantity 1 orders one of the selected lengths. If you need a particular continuous length, choose that length option; do not assume multiple quantities will arrive as one piece.
50mm polyester wadding
Shop recycled PET polyester wadding with 50mm nominal loft and approximately 690mm width. Choose a cut length from 1–15m. It is supplied without adhesive or facing.
At approximately 0.69m wide, a selected 5m length covers about 3.45m² before cutting. Quantity 1 orders one selected length. Continuous supply is provided where possible; contact us before ordering if one uninterrupted piece is essential.
10mm acoustic felt sheets
Shop acoustic felt supplied as individual 1.7m × 1.3m sheets, 10mm thick. Each sheet covers approximately 2.21m² before cutting.
Quantity 1 = one sheet. Quantity 2 = two separate sheets, approximately 4.42m² in total. Adhesive is sold separately.
Self-adhesive butyl sound-deadening sheets
Shop aluminium-faced butyl sheets for panel vibration. Select a pack containing 10–100 sheets, in increments of 10. Quantity 1 orders one selected pack: for example, one 20-sheet pack contains 20 sheets. Other insulation materials are not included.
Plan coverage before ordering
- Measure each area and draw a cutting layout using the chosen material's width or sheet size.
- Allow for cuts, offcuts and overlaps where the installation method requires them. The areas above are nominal, before wastage.
- Check thickness against the space behind your panels.
- Keep sheet count, pack count and square-metre coverage separate when calculating your order.
Check before installation
- Confirm surface preparation and application requirements on the product page and manufacturer guidance.
- Plan access to wiring, drainage, fixings and service points.
- Check suitability and any required performance specification for the intended surface and location.
